Historical and Logistical Information

Hendler & Hart is the largest and longest-standing houseware manufacturer in South Africa.

The company was originally formed as a manufacturing company by Hart in 1892. Hart saw to the production of general light metal pressing work and the production of aluminium hollow-ware. Hendler followed suit 20 years later, and in 1923 Hendler & Hart began producing a variety of finished goods, primarily in the cookware sector.

Hendler & Hart is a proudly South African manufacturing company, conforming to a quality standard of the highest degree.

Quality standards range from value charts which are based on honesty, integrity and ethics, to the utilisation of the finest quality of materials in the form of aluminium and stainless steel, adhering to all ISO and SABS requirements.

As the largest manufacturer of cookware in South Africa, Hendler & Hart employs over 500 people to manufacture and distribute a wide range of hollow-ware products, depicted in the following brands:

  • Hart – Aluminium cookware
  • Aloe – Stainless Steel cookware
  • Caterpride – Stainless steel and Aluminium catering cookware
  • Impala – Galvanised steelware
  • Pointerware – Upmarket specialised products
  • Nice ‘n Clean – Dishwashing liquid

All of our products are supplied to both the domestic and catering sections.
